I'm just worried we'll go for Umtiti as a centreback solution. If he'd actually been healthy he would have been an awesome signing, but his knees are beyond fucked by most accounts.
Apparently he made everything worse by refusing surgery for half a year and pursuing some alternative bullshit treatment in Qatar instead, before ultimately realising that he had to go under the knife anyway. And now they think he might be permanently crocked because of it; something with the cartilage separating in his knee I think. I can't find the story at the moment but Barcelona were livid with him. Splashing big on him could end up being disastrous for us. He sounds like a potential Owen Hargreaves/Fernando Redondo case.
