Meatwad is right though. I'd be wary of Mina. There is no evidence of him being particularly good aside from one or two performances in the World Cup. His whole reputation is based on Barca buying him, but they tend to buy a lot of average players that they don't need (Chygrynskiy says hi). The fact they're trying to get rid of him six months and five appearances later should be a clue.

Don't think Mina or Vida would do anything for our defence really. We need a proper top quality centre half, these are more punts and half measures.

I feel the same way. I think we need someone who's not too old but still has enough experience to lead if needed. A player in the 25-27 age bracket would be perfect.

Imagine getting rid of Chuba Akpom , Jeff-Reine Adelaide, Ospina, Welbeck, Perez, Elneny (and Merte who retired) in one window. Add Theo, Debuchy and Coquelin from the winter. Talk about taking the trash out.

Giroud, Wilshere and Chamberlain were on good money as well. Gabriel and Gibbs were on decent money. And Sanchez's 180k a week are off the books as well.

Well over a 500k a week saved and not one of those players am I sorry about losing. And you would be looking at well over a million pound off the books if you add in the players Homesteak listed above.

We've spent a chunk on Lacazette, Aubameyang, Özil and the other new players, but we've still come out ahead.

I suspect that a genuine wide player will be high on our list for Jan.
Who we sign may depend as much on who departs and what money we need to spend elsewhere.

Saw a headline that Barca are considering selling Dembele if they can get a price about the same as they paid for him.
If so then I know what I want for Christmas.

Also saw another headline that our new DoF has already held talks in regards to Pavon.

I'd like to think that we do have some options lined up as Malcom was the only wide man to move last summer of those that had been fancied to do so.
