N'Zonzi, Torriera and Ramsey would be a very decent midfield. Ozil offering creativity from one wing, Auba banging them in and hopefully a brand new direct, goalscoring winger.

Our defence is trash so we'll need that midfield to offer as much support as possible which we will get with from N'Zonzi and Torriera.

I'm not bothered about N'Zonzi, he's good but not that good that we should bring him in as a 29 year old. We need to make smarter signings that have the potential to grow in value.

Ramsey-Xhaka has been dreadful to watch.

Nzonzi in place of xhaka makes for a better midfield. Nzonzi can actually play out of pressure and build the play from deep. Xhaka has been proven to be weak under pressure, and his passing that isn't very intelligent or progressive.

If you think Xhaka's passing isn't progressive then you'll be in for a shock when you watch Nzonzi's passing.

Nzonzi is better at the simple things but he can't play half the balls that Xhaka has in his locker. Say what you want about the latter but he got 7 assists last season, Nzonzi has never gotten anything close to that.

Regardless I was talking more from a positional perspective. I think Nzonzi's skillsets overlap with Torreira a lot more than they do with Xhaka.

The biggest thing Nzonzi brings is he can keep the ball under pressure, which was one of our biggest weaknesses last seasons. Ramsey and Xhaka can't handle any sort of press and it hinders our ability to play from the back into midfield.

Lots of talk about Yerry Mina to Everton. We should be on that case as well. I think he'd fit in well here. Let Mustafi go if needed.

Not sure about Mina either, but Akanji is going to be a big deal in the near future. Let's hope we aim to rob Dortmund again next summer.

Emery said during his press conference before Boreham Wood that we haven't made a move for N'Zonzi. If something has changed in the last few days then it must be related to someone leaving.
