It's a poor line up, because you only have Alexis and Giroud who really score goals, and Giroud isn't all that when it comes to scoring either. On top of that, it is a 4-4-2, which means that Özil would have to do some proper defending. Özil isn't very good at it, and it would also to a large degree limit his output offensively if he time and again has to do proper defending.
Of course I'd prefer for us to get a proper, class number 9, but if that doesn't happen, I'd quite like something like this:

Basically, if we can't get a class number 9, then we absolutely should move Alexis to playing point, and properly invest in two class wide players who also pose a legit goal threat. This may be a more viable way to go, because there are a lot more good wide players available than there are number 9s. Either way, we desperately need two players for our front 4 who will walk straight into the first XI IMO.
