Marquinhos is the closest thing to Thiago Silva out there in my opinion. Anyone who wouldn't go for him if he became available is off their rocker. We'd be so much better off with a guy like that than a big, cumbersome player who lacks ability on the ball. The problem with this rumour is that PSG obviously wouldn't sell him.

I've seen a bit of Rabiot this summer since some of PSG:s preseason games were on telly (for some weird reason). He's raw but I like him.

Also has the kind of attributes we are crying out for in that position. Good positional sense + defensive awareness and a good range of passing. Whether he is the right player I don't know.

Yeah, he reminds me a little of Khedira. I think there's plenty to build on if he's available for a reasonable fee.

With no top class option really available might be worth looking at someone we can develop for that position. I'd like to see Ramsey as our CM but he can't build from deep, problem is neither can Coquelin or Cazorla. Those two are more suited for sitting deep and trying to hit teams on the counter, don't think we can play a particularly strong brand of possession football with them.

Another one is Sergi Samper, suppose to be one of the highest rated talents out of La Masia but whether he would leave is another matter.

Rabiot looks very good. Uses the ball well and is physical.

I think William was mostly agent talk, similar to M'Vila before him. We might have enquired about the players on some level for a number of reasons, but if Wenger really wanted either of them we would have signed them.

Yep, it's our problem in a nutshell. And Wenger's solution has been to play either Özil or Ramsey out of position, which makes us less of a team. He sacrifices quality for the sake of balance and I feel strongly that it's the wrong way to go.

Rabiot looks like a decent prospect, but Wenger has built an exceptionally unbalanced squad and I doubt there is room for another midfielder in the squad. Even though we need another DM.

TBH atm I'm thinking that both the likes of Rabiot & Kovacic are likely better than Rambo or Wilshere.

As far as bring complete players, then Kovacic is the pick of the bunch, but rabiot is still raw as it gets.
