Strikers will always be judged on goals (and Benzema will get enough) but more importantly for me, his general play is very good and puts the team first. Similar to Giroud. Think we really need that.

Not sure there's much chance of getting him though.

see, i think we need a striker like aguero. you're right, hes similar to giroud, but maybe more agile, but id rather have someone who specializes in burying the chances that fall to him, not someone who can hold the ball up 30 yards from goal and play a 10 yard sideways pass

Benzema would score plenty here. His role in the Real Madrid team is feeding the others, but he can do it all.

Benzema is a genius and was out of this world the past season. Deserves to be compared very closely with Suarez and Aguero in terms of his ability and he would be an excellent complement to Alexis/Ramsey who take risks and lose the ball more frequently. A Cech-Kos-Ramsey-Özil-Benzema spine with Alexis and Wilshere wreaking havoc alongside would rocket this team into the stratosphere. That is world class quality.
