Come on now, Lost was just silly, pointless, mindless fun. If it was a movie it'd be the Transporter trilogy. Seriously, it was popular and it was easy to watch, but it didn't just meander, it fell to fucking pieces after the first season or two. I'm not knocking it really, there's clearly a place for that sort of tv and I watched every episode, but it was a long, long way away from a high quality show. It was a glossy big budget soap opera.

There's not really much soapy about Lost all.

As for it being "silly" well its sci-fi, all sci-fi is fairly silly. Its a genre show.

agree with whoever said frozen planet is amazing. really sumptuous photography, as you'd expect from a big budget bbc doco.

The new girl in 'House', Odette Annable, makes the show worth watching.

there's nothing worth watching on House anymore.. i dont care who they bring in.. show needs to just die a quick death now. got boring as fuck about 2 seasons ago..

The scene with Clay and Gemma staring at eachother across the parking lot right after Tig handed in his Sergeant in Arms patch is the best thing I've seen on tv for years. The tears behind the closed door when he finally realises that he's gone too far and lost everyone he loves... such a devastating moment. Perlman has that Emmy in the bag if there's an ounce of justice in the world.

Perlman is decent but there are far better actors on TV. Half the cast of Breaking Bad for a start.

Great series this year though. One of the best shows on TV now.

Jo and I have just started watching Nurse Jackie. After 4 very enjoyable episodes, Jo tells me she already thinks it's better than Justified...

I've now seen a fair bit of Justified, two seasons, but have to say it's a bit average. Watched the first three seasons of Sons of Anarchy and it's far more engrossing. Good serial plotlines.

Fair do's. As I said before, I'm just happy to watch Tim Olyphant do his thing. And the dude from the Shield is bloody great too.

Though, by that rationale, I would also have to say that I love watching Edie Falco do her thing.

Same. It's good but don't really see the big deal and could easily live without watching next season. If it wasn't for the guy from the Shield I probably would have stopped watching it.

Yeah, nothing wrong with the acting, I just find the balance of humour and drama a bit off the mark for my taste. 'Quirky' shows shit me to tears.

I finally started on season 4 of Breaking Bad last night. It’s great to watch a top quality TV show again. Lately all I’ve been watching is Dexter and The Walking Dead, and neither are anywhere near the same quality. Dexter in particular has fallen so far.

Mind you the release of the first promo for season 2 of Game of Thrones has me officially excited! First glimpses of a few new characters; have to say I thought Stephen Dillane would have bearded it up to play Stannis. The rest look spot on though.

Was thinking the same thing the other day about Dexter. They should have cancelled the show really before last season. Trinity should have been it.

Just seen Mad Dogs here. Pretty good although unfortunately I missed the first 2 episodes and only stumbled upon the 3rd by chance so it was a bit confusing to get the jist of what had happened.

New series of Red Dwarf starts filming next month! Absolutely can't wait. My favourite show.

Nah you can't just cancel it like that. They do need to give it an end date and start working towards it though. It really is just threading water.

Well currently SOA is excellent but series 3 was a pile of shite.

Am watching reruns of Waking the Dead;it's season 2-Thin Air part 1 where girl vanishes on the Hampstead Heath. All round good crime series. Only problem is I have to wait till next week for part 2.

Just got the DVD of HBO's production of The Wire, Season 1. Whoa, pretty intense, realistic, a foreign world.

I'm so behind the times with TV series. 8)
