Haven't watched the last two episodes of BB. Really want to but i've been pretty busy. I'm hearing they were pretty good

Interesting article about the 'four greatest shows of the last decade', that. Disagree with the conclusion, though. I don't think Breaking Bad is the best of those programmes.

As for pedant squad - I was simply following your lead there Burnsy! Most certainly getting old though...

Ye, thats what I did, should have explained myself better. Great show, the guy who plays Walt is in Drive as well, quality actor.

Not sure about the Jessie character, think he is the weak link of the show, not the best actor in the world. Reminds me of a cross between Justin Timberlake and Eminem.

How far into it are you? Jesse is a great character and Aaron Paul is a brilliant actor too, he's overshadowed by Cranston but I'd say he's one of the best on TV.

Which one; Sopranos?

Probably Sopranos, yeah. Mainly because I thought it never abandoned its central theme, but only improved on it, and its finale was a huge success. It also contained some of the most chilling sequences I've ever seen on TV.

I need to watch the last season or so of Breaking Bad though, and they're all good shows.

Haven´t started watching season 4 of BB yet. Hate having to wait a week for the next episode. We started watching Mad Men after season 3 of BB. Just started season 4 there.

i would say that Paul has grown into such a great character in this show, and is surprisingly more redeeming than Cranston's character is..

Rate The Shield as one of the top shows for the same reason.

Curios decision to not include Six Feet Under, by the way, especially when the article starts off by concluding that "there doesn't seem to be much debate over what have been the four best television shows of the past 10 years". It's arguably one of two stand-out shows in the last ten years that, along with Sopranos, redefined both HBO and the television format. Surely a more worthy candidate than Mad Men. It's a poor and shortsighted list in my opinion. Never been a fan of Klosterman though so I wasn't expecting to agree with him.

@[deleted] I'd agree Mad Men shouldn't make the list, but I think Six Feet Under's a little overrated as well. I've yet to see The Shield, but now that I've watched three seasons of SoA I'm pretty keen to check it out.

Anyway, Sopranos wins cos it's the daddy. Dont think any of the others even come close.

I'm only two episodes into season two of BB (thanks for the recommendation guys, it's been great so far), but for me The Wire is miles ahead. BB is intense and all, but the character depth, plot subtlety, and social commentary of The Wire are all miles ahead of anything I've seen thus far in the latter show.

Half way through season 2 of Breaking Bad, its getting better all the time. And you guys are right, its hard not to start to feel for that Jessie character, he does def grow on you.

I would put the Wire as my top show followed by Sopranos and Entourage (in terms of pound for pound entertainment). Mad Men would also be in my top 5, Breaking Bad has a chance to overtake Don Draper and co but unless seasons 3 and 4 are sensational (as in better than season 1 and 2) I dont think my top 3 can be got.

Havent seen Dexter or Broadwalk empire though.

How would you rate Breaking Bad against Dexter? Many of my friends that have seen Dexter put it in their top fives.

I take it that I'm the only one who rates Psych and Dead Like Me as two of the top ten shows of the last decade, but I can live with that.

Last Breaking Bad was excellent, again. I'm not sure my heart can handle the season finale next week.
