Rex, have you tried any of Bryan Fuller's other shows? Those peculiar aesthetic choices are running like a red thread through each and everyone of them. Dead Like Me, Wonderfalls, Pushing Daisies... they're all amazing.

Cheers, Klaus. I haven't seen any of them, but will keep a mental note of this post. I find that I go to this thread and the film thread these days when finding inspiration to which tv shows and movies to watch. 🙂

Into episode 7 of homeland. Genuinely think it's been pretty good. Not amazing but a lot better than season 2. Carrie isn't even annoying anymore with Brodie not involved.

Enjoyable rather than a great but yeah.

As for Pushing Dasies I didn't like it. Found it incredibly dull and annoyingly twee.

Never seen Sherlock before, watched the new episode tonight, thought it was quite good. Downloading the previous seasons now 🙂

Considering they has a lot of lose ends to tie up, it was fine until the last 10 minutes which was just a bit silly.

They spent an awful lot of that time not tying up those loose ends though and just pretending too. Was all a bit self indulgent. I'm looking forward to them getting back to normal on Sunday though.

I agree that they spent far too long on explanations, too much nod nodding and winking towards real life "how did he do it?" forums.
It was clever but a little irritating at the same time.
I'd have preferred if they'd concentrated on the fresh crimes, new baddies, proper sleuthing and mystery solving.

Yet to see it. Will try to do it soon enough since I really liked the previous episodes.

it felt too busy, which is weird considering each ep is 90 mnutes long. hopefully now all the lose ends are out of the way, they can get back some oldcfashioned sleuthing. martin freeman was great though.

Yeah, probably, but it was trying at least. It didn't have the same smug sense of being complete fan service.

Never really been into Zombie stuff (especially after watching crap like Dawn of the Dead), but decided to give The Walking Dead a go. Seems ok, decent viewing. Are the story arcs any good?
