I think it's mostly that when Ranieri was asked about our interest yesterday, his response sounded like he was pleading with Mahrez to stay.
He dismissed the rumours that there has been a concrete bid for Mahrez though.
Mahrez is easily worth 50 million pounds IMO and i consider myself very conservative when it comes to player valuation. My only concern is Wenger is gonna skimp on a CB if he pay that much for Mahrez. He is the kind of guy who would sabotage a 200 million dollar investment for a 20 million spare part.

Cheers Klaus.
Guess there's a chance that if we really drive for this signing that it could happen. Not sure I can see Wenger paying more for Mahrez than he did Özil though.
We are not getting Mahrez, Wenger said we will get 3 players. We got 3. We are done.
In terms of exciting play, RiRi is up there close to this guy

Mahrez for Walcott (+ cash) would be perfect for us. Get rid of dead wood and bring in a player who can slot in the first team.
Why would Leicester accept that deal?
Yeah it wouldn't make sense. Adding Walcott just decreases the total value of the deal.
I don't think folk on here realize how terrible Walcott is. No one has come close to showing interest in him so far this summer, says it all I would think.
Leicester were reportedly interested, but Theo wouldn't go.
He actually isn't awful, anyway, though he's coming off a bad season, but he's in decline and we need to jettison him.
Theo could get 15 odd goals from the wing for a PL team that plays to his strengths. He just needs to stay fit.
I'm done with him here but wouldn't be surprised if he found a home some place he scores regularly and is relatively well viewed.
Theo can't play the wing for us in most circumstances. You have to be able to pass the ball and dribble a bit.

You are a kind soul, BW. Theo's awful.

Like Ranieri's talking about another team wanting him.
Probably Chelsea LOL.
that does sound like a 'please stay' type of statement
He's ours

Mahrez replacement?
Highly likely. Kapustka had a really good euros in my opinion, very impressive young player.
Unlike us, Leicester are proactive and looking for a replacement in case their worst case scenario materialises. They also bid for Deeney when it looked like Vardy wanted to join us, so I wouldn't do a victory dance just yet.
