There aren't any good defenders around really, so not that surprising. Arsenal has let Özil down as far as this pretty pointless, individual award in a collective sport goes, because he has IMO overall been the best player in the PL.

Yeah just realised. Someone as poor as Barkley got nominated. Even Shaw in an average season got nominated if we want to talk about fullbacks.

Kane surprises me. He's got a great goalscoring rate but he's also a great link-up player.
