The 32-year-old insists his demotion was down to political issues but he's keen to move on.

Of his Galatasaray exit, Eboue said: "I came back for training and I was told I would not be playing.

"The president [Dursun Ozbek] told the manager [Cesare Prandelli] at the time not to pick me. The way I was treated was very unfair."

On the future, he added: "We are looking for options and I would love to come back to Arsenal."

He hasn't played since the start of the 14/15 season. That's 18 months without football. I'd stay away, but I can totally see Wenger jump on this.

Shades of Sol Campbell circa 2010?

In all seriousness, I doubt this will happen and if it does, I doubt he'll play anything approaching meaningful minutes. I think even Chambers would be preferred to him at rightback if Bellerin went down

He can sub in for Gunnersaurus whenever he needs a break.

This is just Eboue pining for a return though isn't it? There can't be anything substantial here surely 😆

I'd take him over Debuchy.

There, it's been said.

I'd take him over Welbeck.

Players are interesting. Here's a guy who helped shut down (ageing) Nedved and Zidane in successive rounds. He looked like Alves for a minute. And then it all fell apart. Where or how did he/we fail?

He wasn't serious enough as a professional/footballer.

Why do you have to be serious?

I'd get him and pay him nominal wages just to give a medal at the end of the season. That booing was pretty disgraceful.

Eboue wasn't much of a footballer even in his pomp; I would dread to find out just how poor he is now in the twilight of his career, and especially so if he were to wear an Arsenal shirt. What a character though!

Love him as a character, but he is past it.

Get him in. Will keep the dressing room entertained, like having a stand up comedian there at all times.

Because professional football is serious business.

Hang on where's me Kim Kallsrom picture.

Future Arsenal Manager.
