Third round underway tonight, Liverpool 2-1 down at halftime away to Exeter at St James Park. Lee Holmes, the one Exeter player starting tonight who's name I recognise, scored straight from a corner! The ginger Petr Cech, Adam Bogdan in goal for Liverpool, strikes again! 😆

Exeter faded in the 5 minutes before Liverpool scored and were rocked for 5 minutes after, but were complete on top for the rest of the second half. Very unlucky not to win on the night, but the replay will do nicely for them. Liverpool were diabolical.

Hardly surprising given liverpool made 11 changes from the last match.. really wouldnt have been surprised to see them go out tonight, but oh well..

Liverpool is in with a decent chance still of reaching top 4 since they are only 6 points behind. When your squad is as depleted as theirs is right now I think it is quite an easy call to not have the FA Cup as your first priority.

Yep. And they have around 15 games (if they win the replay) in 50 days. With Liverpool's current squad and Klopp's style of play, they will need to rotate heavily.
