I can't remember who it was or if it even happened, but I seem to remember someone being left behind once who ended up staying. I'm thinking Lord Bendtner?

No Jeff either, going out on loan maybe?

Looking forward to seeing some of the kids, Bielik, Bramall, AMN and Nelson in particular, hopefully they can make an impression.

I could see this happening to Jenkinson. Jeff is injured, apparently.

Not really sure what any omissions mean.. we have Bielik going to Aussie and he's already confirmed to go on loan to Norwich this season..

He's a good talent. Much more of a Number 10 than his brother Chris. Not as fast and fluid or anywhere near as tricky. But a very good passer, decent ball carrier, good touch, much better ball striking technique than his brother too. He really can hit a ball nicely with his instep, gets good shape on the ball. Also started scoring often toward the end of last season for the U18s. He had a growth spurt - he's now over 6ft - and it took him some time to grow into his body, but he is much more of threat now that he has.

I am disappointed by how Chris and Jeff's development seem to have been stunted these past couple of years.
They looked impressive a few years back and i'm interested to see if Chris rediscovers his mojo away from our regime.

The team landed here this morning - a couple of hundred fans turned out signing songs for Giroud and Wenger. It was all live on FB as is the practice these days.

Shame Gibbs didn't make the cut. He loves these pre season tours. Probably had plans to be decked out in full Aussie clobber but with white socks and sports flip flops posing with Theo and a didgeridoo embracing the culture in only a way He can do

There is already a photo of Mertesacker, Cech, Kos and Wenger in front of the Opera House (I think they're on top of the Museum of Contemporary Art) holding a surfboard decorated in Aboriginal art.

Damn I was there yesterday afternoon. Was at Bondi today instead. Decided to get the new home shirt when I passed a sports store today. I don't get it every season and the latest one I have is the first Puma one from a few seasons ago so figured if I've spent this much money to come to the games I may as well have the new shirt too!

At least they have turned up and not canceled which has happened to me before when I've traveled for an event!

They had a training run at Jubilee Oval - home of St George Dragons in the rugby league - yesterday, so they might be back there today. And there's an open training session on Friday afternoon / evening out at Homebush, where you can also get your photo taken with the FA Cup. I can't make it unfortunately.

Nice article from the local press here on how we have managed our Australian tour so much better than Liverpool. Good to see us displaying our usual "Marble Halls" class.

Willock starting centre mid, that's a big role for him. Nelson as a wing back suggests Wenger does want at least 1 attacking player occupying the wide roles.
