Good performance from Joel, good enough to suggest that he can be useful this season. I was just about ready to write him off.

I'd put Ramsey back on the right in the next game though. Has nothing to do with accomodating Flamini, it's about letting one of your best attacking players attack.

Isn't Chambo meant to be back for Norwich? Think he compliments Giroud better since he plays more like a winger and is right footed. Maybe Campbell can play on the left so we can give Alexis some rest.

Thought he had a really good.. Like that he is always positive & looking to move forward. Fitness has improved as well. Good option to have now

First 15 minutes especially was really impressive, created many openings. 8 key passes in a single half according to Opta.

If he can continue to take on players and be a direct threat it will be great.

I couldn't believe how well his passes were weighted last night, every one seemed to be perfect for the receiving player. Clear level above Chamberlain so far this season.

Just from the highlight vid (didn't watch the game) he looks very different - when did he ever pass so much, react so quickly and move so much? and quality passes too. Feels like he was way more involved in the game than usual. Good signs.

When/if he's that good ATM, I'd start him even if Ox is ok. Let Ox play himself to form and earn the place, and keep Campbell as long as it's working - both improve him and give him what he deserves.

He surprised me by not being entirely useless last night. Still think there were plenty of problems with his game but his passing was really good.

We played a team that is as dirt poor as any side we're going to face this season though. Zagreb is such a shower of shit. Don't expect him to repeat this performance in Premier League.

Our arguably best player in 2015 also couldn't get into the team over Gibbs for a long while, most here even thought Wenger was right persisting with the latter. I'm not doing anything to myself btw, I've been on the Campbell bandwagon since day one

Also while I agree that Zagreb are poor defensively I think they'd be a lower midtable side in the EPL, they move the ball around a lot better than most in the league.

It's always like this after the Concacaf qualifers. The North American players ain't fit enough to start.

Yeah but the similarities are Gibbs is poor in both positions, while the other two aren't.

When the squad is down to its bare knees and the only alternative is a fullback or a 17 year old kid, absolutely. Alexis does it all the time (including last weekend) and he has a legit right to be tired.

Alexis is super human. He is literally the only player that can do this, let's not even compare.

That's such a poor excuse. Let's not dress it up - we all know that the issue with Campbell is that he has the physique of an old woman. He should be well able to start for us on the 21st after playing for Costa Rica on the 17th.
