I think his performance was promising. Needs to improve his fitness but that's one of the areas that can be improved rather easily, especially when he gets used to the pace of the league. Think he can still have a career here, for example I'm 100% sure Ox wouldn't have scored from Campbell's position for his goal as certain parts of your game like composure or shooting technique are much harder to work on, let's hope Campbell can go from strength to strength now.

I think he will make a decent stop gap solution till the others are back. Great chance for him to prove himself as an option.

I thought he looked a bit garbage. Nice touch and short passing, but everyone could see why he's literally the last outpost in the squad before we start crossing off the 17 year olds from the academy. He has the worst stamina I've seen in a Premier League level player. I have no interest in wingers who are so shot that they can't even complete a run down the flank after 35 minutes.

Ideal scenario is he plays a Luis Boa Morte-style role in us winning the league, chipping in with some vital goals, then we take advantage of his boosted rep and get £15m for him from some upper mid table English team.

Very easy to see how weak Ox's claims on an Arsenal career are when one well-taken goal puts Campbell right up there with him. Both of these guys need to step up.

he did a great job coming back and providing support to bellerin, which is something that certainly doesn't happen when ox is in the team. as others have mentioned, the fact that he looked like he was going to fall over and die after 20 minutes is troubling, but maybe he just needs to get his feet under him and he'll get into shape.

I like him. Good goal and played well. Hopefully he'll go from strength to strength and become a quality player for us.

Has a good finish on him but also tunnel vision. He has no future here injuries and Wenger negligence aside.

still seems a tad brainless for a 23 year old, and picks odd times to jog round when he should be busting a gut. i think he'll grow in confidence over the next month and be a decent fill-in

Burnsy - no, only seriously deluded people can compare him to the Ox after one game. Ox has hit a new low, granted, and his defensive (lack of) contribution is a big worry, but Joel will never be a top player, Ox might.

Think he is absolutely comparable to Ox so are so many other youngsters. OX has natural talent but he is not some rare elite wonder kid.

He had a decent game yesterday. Showed some real quality in patches. Fitness and passing were poor but it's his first real game here. One thing he definitly has over his competition for the RW is end product

Problem is he has very little time to show what he can do as there is a long list of players that are going to be coming back from injury,wanting to get minutes & the right wing is easiest place to get them.

Yeah it's ridiculous. I mean he barely sprinted much and ran out of breath after half an hour. Then he started well in the second half, only to look totally spent after 80 minutes. If this is a one-off, it is understandable. But he have always looked lack of intensity and stamina in most of his Arsenal matches.

Not sure how he completed so many full matches on loan. I vividly remember him playing the full 120 minute in the World Cup, sprinting the full length of the pitch at the end for a last minute chance and then taking a superb penalty.

Maybe he's just not in top shape yet and unready for 2 games in a week. Hopefully its just a case of him getting some matches under his belt.

Problem if he is having to dig so deep is that muscle injuries are more likely to occur. He was huffing and puffing both midweek and yesterday, and he has to play two more games this week.

I'm being a little bit more pragmatic than usual, perhaps, but despite his gifts Ox has injury troubles, he has problems with his decision-making, and with his overall game. Campbell strolled into the team, tracked back, and scored a goal. What has Ox done this season? This is why Oxlade-Chamberlain needs to seize his opportunities.

Where can one find stats for ground covered in the game? Campbell looked spent very early on but it seemed like he tracked back a lot too. We are having to dig deep and while I think Campbell really doesn't have a future here, if he can just contribute with defensive work rate and keep it simple in this period of mini crisis, we will get by fine. Goals are just a bonus. Neither Ramsey or Chamberlain have really got into the goals this season yet.
