So Neymar hasn't made a bad pass or missed a single shot all season? Thats quite something, if those stats are true he's not just better than Ronaldo he's better than Messi too.

If I am understanding that correctly, it just means 1 = Neymar's best.

The shocking thing is the difference to Cristiano's stats.

I'd be very skeptic about the validity of that since it is obviously a pro Barcelona publication. Having said that, Ronaldo is 30 now and there have been enough games played this season to argue that he is in decline. Neymar on the other hand has stepped his game up. He is wonderful to watch, and personally I feel he is a much better role model for football than Ronaldo has ever been. Neymar is a throwback to peak Ronaldinho for me, and those two show that there is more to football than just being as effective as possible.

I'm pretty sure it means the player with the higher stats is standardised to 1 or 100%, i.e. Cristiano has created 40% of whatever amount of chances Neymar has created, scored 20% less goals and so on.

That's what I'd assume having watched them play most weeks, Ronaldo has been mostly shit while Neymar has been running rings around pretty much everything.

As Jones says it doesn't show how many interceptions, dribbles etc. they have, but how many they have compared to the other one.

most of those stats are meaningless. just watch the damn games. Neymar has been playing at insane level. this Messi injury is the best thing that could have happened to him. he's turned Barca into his own team in his absence. you can see why United were rumoured to have bid 9 figures for him.

Total numbers without context: 23 vs. 21 goals.

With context:

Suarez: 14 goals against the top half of the table.
Ronaldo: 4 goals against the top half of the table.

Suarez: 9 goals against the bottom half of the table.
Ronaldo: 17 goals against the bottom half of the table (8 goals against just 1 team)

There is a reason why Barca's trio have won ever single game against Atletico (arguably the fiercest defense in Europe) whereas Madrid have won only 2 of their last 10 games against Atletico.

Meh, the three fuckers at Barcelona make up the top 3. Playing together adds further to their already ridiculous individual ability, which makes it somewhat unfair to compare them individually to anyone else.

It's Neymar, Messi and Suarez together in the same attack. The only way you could up the talent aggregate is, ironically, swapping out Suarez for Ronaldo.

Benzema and Bale don't belong anywhere near a comparison, however many League goals they've scored.
