Well, despite the useless Cesc, we barely gained any points on Chelsea between New Year's and the end of the season, and he played pretty much every game. He must have done something right.
This is just terrible logic - there are 10 other players who also start. Did you see Hazard's form during the same period? He carried them to the title. Even at the time people were giving Fabregas stick for fading away in the second half of the season.
IMO Cesc is also a lot better with his positional discipline these days.
Which days are these? The Barca days where they were so fed up of him that he played as number 9 so that he didn't clog up midfield?
Last season? When, like Klaus said, he got a free role and had Matic + 1 do his work for him? Probably cost Oscar his big breakthrough. Or his national team where he gets moved around as well? Surely you don't literally mean these days where his demise is almost tragic.
I'm just curious - what exactly is it that makes you guys see Cazorla as a better player than Fabregas?
It's not about whether one is better than the other - like I said, a fully fit Cesc Fabregas reaches peaks that Cazorla hasn't. But there are plenty of arguments in favour of Cazorla, aside from his game intelligence, his technique is pretty fucking sweet as well. Either way you argue it, I can see a reasonable case for both.
What is ridiculous is you thinking that Cazorla isn't even worthy of being compared to Fabregas.
