Think taking Sanchez off hurt us a lot more.

I'd argue that putting Walcott on rather than taking Sanchez off is what hurt us. The substitution was clearly Welbeck for Sanchez in my opinion. I don't know how we could have lost any attacking impetus with Sanchez because all he did by the time he came off was lose possession. You could see it in his body language and reactions to each episode of it. He knew it and could fix it. His head had gone by then.
He was our most dangerous player by a country mile. Hit the woodwork twice, came close a couple of other times and got a good assist. Granted, by his standards he was having yet another innconsistent performance, but he was categorically our most threatening player and most likely to score.
He did give the ball away with a couple of errant passes not long before coming off and looked like he was going to start crying so I can see the logic in hooking him, but he also nearly scored twice right before coming off too. We definitely lost all our attacking impetus went he left the field.
