Very close to holding the view we should just cut our losses—he's probably one more mishap or string of ineffectual appearances away. I think the other players are starting to see he's not making the grade now. It's important they see the club runs on merit and delivering on the pitch.

He actually pulled out of it, Mascherano went for the ball without hesitation and Ox slowed down a bit which ironically left only him injured. Not that it matters anyway.

I can see how people think that he seems to have a poor mentality. He didn't improve at all in five years, even with the injuries you'd think he'd have learned how to control a fucking ball by now. His work ethic and tracking back is embarrassing too for a player of his rank in the squad, he should be bursting his lungs for every ball given his many weaknesses.

Nine league games over 90 minutes in five seasons. Not good enough.

Are we going to get a better squad player than him? No.

Ar 22 years old there is still a lot of upside in keeping him.

People want to have a good, competitive squad but want to get rid of players like Theo and the Ox because they haven't turned into Ronaldo or Bale. Ridiculous,

The usual point—for the money and to stop paying his wages. In Theo and Campbell we already have two squad players better than him, and could easily sign another. Go get Mahrez or someone.

I'm not saying cut the guy off cold just yet, but this was his big season, he's been given lots of chances and he's spectacularly failing to deliver. He's got to at least show a spark with two or three big performances.

There are dozens of players all over Europe we could get for half his wages that would put in better performances than him. Just because you don't know them doesn't mean they don't exist.

There's a level between Ronaldo and Ox, many of them in fact. What a silly post.

There is no shame on either party here if we sell. We paid a fair amount for a 16-17 year old with potential to be an elite player. He hasn't shown anywhere near that sort of potential and if we want a dodgy squad option then fair enough and keep him. Problem is we have loads of them.

Neither is there any shame of OX, he isn't an elite level player but will have a good career and will get england games throughout. He simply isn't going to be a world beater and we need to be looking to offload the players who can't make that step up as we have plenty of solid squad players for his role.

Was actually pretty good in the Barca game and his injury changed the flow significantly. Best he has played in ages and that was following a small upturn in form previously.

Another 6-8 weeks out for him.

When he plays he barely contributes to goals or assists as one of three forward players. This really stands out when you have a less than top class striker too and even Alexis dropping off goals wise. He's the definition of a filler player at the moment. Would sell in the summer.

Out of Ox, Theo, Campbell, who is the most reliable back up option? Keep him, sell the other two.

The most reliable back up option is the one who scores and contributes.

Chamberlain does neither. Even his touch is awful these days. Sure one can make a youtube reel of him looking a world beater with glimpses of his talent but that's just not enough.

Campbell should be sold either way.

At this point Theo and Ox are more unreliable than Campbell because of their injury issues. Plus Walcott is one of our highest earners, is he not?

If the biggest argument for keepingCampbell is injury issues of others that says it all really.

Chamberlain's contract is up in 2 years so if they renew his it's going to be pretty significant that's for sure. That's money that can actually be used for a much better player.

We're never going to do a major squad overhaul so I'd certainly take getting rid of two out of those three. Given their respective wages and potential fees I'd sell Ox and Theo every day of the week, plus they're unavailable more often than not.

Not sure what everyone's grief with Campbell is. He was barely involved this season and still played a good role in a number of games, one of them being a season defining match in Greece. Definitely deserves his spot in the squad over the other two, only one with a first touch like a professional footballer plus his work rate is better than Ox and Theo's combined.

His work rate is about equal with Ox. He's a tidier player than Ox thats for sure, better vision and passing. Ox is more dynamic though, stronger, quicker and can do more on his own. Much of a muchness there for me. They're both massively flawed at the moment. Not sure at all who I'd pick out of them. Tempted to say Ox but thats just his form, I'd have said Campbell over the winter run.

The sensible thing would be to replace Theo with a proper starter and keep the 2 of them as back up. They can both cover all across the 3 behind the striker.

You can't be talking about Campbell here. I agree with most other points like Ox' being superior physically and Joel better on the ball but there's no chance that they have similar work rate, not even remotely close in my opinion.

Ox and Theo are the ones that need to be sold. Even if they were a good bit better than they actually are I'd want them replaced as they're never gaining any momentum because of their recurring injuries. Most of our players go on hot streaks for a few weeks which go a long way to secure points over a season, Theo's last one was years ago and Ox literally never had any.

You can't blame them for that of course but neither could you blame Diaby, why invest more time into them when there are many youngsters out there with lot more upside.

I feel the belief / support in Ox's work rate is largely based off his ability to march us forward with powerful runs. Campbell is missing that but he is far more clued in defensively, and in turn has put in a much larger and better defensive shift than Ox.
