He was good, got a good assist and could have had two if Theo wasn't so wasteful. He's been slowly improving over the last few games.

I thought he had good spells and some poor spells. Which is definitely a sign hes getting back on track. If he could get back that sometimes effective, sometimes shit level hes usually at for the rest of the season id be happy enough. Then he needs to push on next season.

I think this is definitely one of his best games of the season, and that is saying a lot as the standard is very low for him.

Any upward curve for him is better than nothing though, hopefully he can keep that up and push us over the line in crucial game.

he was much more polished against burnley, for sure. he cut out most of the hair brained stuff we've seen in most of his other games, and pushed forward well. hopefully he can build on it

Can't believe I'm saying this but I actually agree with him to an extent. Not saying he shouldn't be allowed to do his funny videos and whatnot but he's been at the club five years and has finished all of nine matches for us, that's criminal. The rate he's going he won't amount to more than Theo; a fundamentally flawed squad player with a couple of strengths who will (or at least should) not start more than 15-20 matches every season.

Is that true?! That's a staggering stat.

Chamberlain is more frustrating than Walcott for me, because there was a much more rounded base to work from. He's far from perfect but he had more about him than Walcott and I was certain by this point he'd have developed into a more mature player.

Thought of him playing RW again?

I remember being extremely excited about seeing him on the right when he first joined us. Awesome acceleration with the ball at his feet to get past the fullback but he seems to have stagnated since Wenger moved him centrally; Something I never agreed with.

Not too sure I like the thought of him playing in central midfield.

If he's one of the interiors in front of an anchor I wouldn't mind too much. I wouldn't like him in a cmf 2

Though w/ that formation there's no. 10 so you either have to leave out Ozil and it doesn't suit Ramsey's skill set either. Could give it a try in F.a cup games perhaps?

He had a great first half but started disappearing in the second, even after the red card. Coming into it now. Decision-making is still very poor.

Haven't noticed his corners before.

In general I'm happy with the way he's going now. A bit more like this and the confidence will really be back.

Poor Joel is probably 4th in the pecking order now.

Looks loads more confident now, needs to keep moving in the right direction and not get injured.
