Why don't PSG just go out and buy the two best fullbacks money can buy and actually give their attacking talent a chance when they play the best sides (not that Chelsea are!)?

They had one to be fair, but Aurier just pressed the self-destruct button on his PSG career. There's no way they could have played him tonight after what he did.

Always looked a little suspect defensively to me. Especially in set piece situations exactly like the one Chelsea scored from. But, you're right, he was one of the better right backs out there for sure. Maxwell is a poor defender without question though and David Luiz is David Luiz.

Great midfield, good attack, bang average defence. And they'll go out to the first top team they face again this season because of it. It's a shame because I like them, despite their cheating oil money, I'd like to see them break up the Barca/Bayern/Real monopoly. I think they handicap themselves by having Blanc as their manager too in all honesty. He's not in the class of Guardiola, Mourinho (pre-breakdown!) or even Wenger. Shouldn't be managing at this high a level in my opinion.

Fuck.

You actually think Chelsea will win the Cup?

They won it before when they never should have got close because, frankly, they were fucking shit that year too.

But, no, I don't think Chelsea have a hope of winning it this season or any time soon, but I always like to see them lose and hopefully lose badly.

Marquinhos at right back is costing them. Chelsea got behind them too often, should have been ahead but PSG were lucky.

To my eyes the foreigners either assimilate pretty badly or not at all. Both understandable - but not best for the culture as a whole.

Not really.

I mean Rafa benitez still has a house here. Aguero ain't complaining either etc.

I was talking outside the professional football bubble

I'm never really sure what Matuidi is supposed to be doing on the field. He's been completely pointless today. His inability to press efficiently is what made Chelsea find their way through PSG's midfield. Motta and Verratti have some actual football intelligence out there. Matuidi just has a french passport. They'd be better off giving his minutes to Rabiot.

Feel the same about him. He runs a round a lot and looks like he's contributing but I think a lot of it is wasted energy. He doesn't have another speed to fall back on though. Flat out running is the only way he can affect games at this level.

Di Maria with a sexual flick.

Chelsea dangerous on the counter

PSG have no one in the box most of the time, Ibrahimovich just lurks around the edge of the box.

I'm slagging off Blanc but I really love the way he has this PSG team set up and the style of football they play. It's measured but very intelligent and technical and the pace of their game moves up and down when it's needed.

PSG dominance in Ligue 1 isn't helping them in this match.

But Di Maria is in the professional bubble.

True, they look like a team that hasn't had to bust a gut to win a game in a very long time.

What a shit ball from Maxwell are going in behind.

PSG were just always overhyped. Still playing well enough.

I just assumed by "plenty of foreigners" you were talking from personal experience - i.e outside the football bubble

For all the PSG love on here they haven't been any better than this crap Chelsea side.

Maybe. I reckon they'd be more hesitant in big games like this if they were slugging it out each week in the prem

Don't think they're overhyped. What they did to Chelsea at Stamford Bridge last season was incredible. They're just not as good as the the big three - by a long way, but so is everyone else.

Come on fellas. Gotta be scoring those

It was a good fight.

But then Chelsea beat Barca away with 10 men in the semis. Was that incredible?
