i've watched a fair amount of Valencia since Gary Neville took over. this is pure swill. they defend like a team without a plan. i wonder what his next move will be. he possibly needs to go coach a Championship side before playing with the big boys

Yeah, their defence especially is a mess. Even more damning for Neville that Valencia's defence last season was probably their strongest point, they lost Otamendi but still have Mustafi, Gaya and others who are among the best in their respective position.

Talentwise their squad is not far behind Atlético and Real actually, they have many highly talented youngsters in there. You'd fear for them as Neville turns everything he touches to shit, the stadium wasn't having any of it either. Should get back to operating iPads

Barcelona now have a new record - most penalties missed ( 8 ) in one La Liga season. How that frontline can be worthless at penalties I'll never understand.

Won 6-0 though. Messi with a goal and three assists.

Atletico with another clean sheet, their defensive record is out of this world. Shame they play in the same league as Barca as they would be deserved league winners

Saul Niguez is playing like Ramsey did in 13/14, not as many marauding runs but more defensively sound and on another level technically. Would love him here.

Also pretty sure Messi scores more from free kicks than penalty kicks these days

Even though they've missed a penalty too, Sevilla are so, so poor. Very disappointed in them, given I don't watch them often and hear so many times how good they are.

Real are still a world class outfit even if they are run like a joke club, not too surprising that they'd dispatch Sevilla like this. I've only seen the highlights but it seems like Navas had a couple of great saves again, including a pretty unreal one from Gameiro's penalty which was taken pretty well actually. He's easily their best player these days, here's hoping Perez still wants De Gea and doesn't sell them Navas in turn.

Commentator did say late on that Sevilla were playing 4 fullbacks across the defence because all their centrebacks were out.

They certainly were a complete mess from back to front. Blew so many good chances to hurt Madrid on the break, Madrid themselves were piss poor defensively. Sevilla keeper was actually the best player on the pitch, Sergio Rico, he made some great saves.

Saul has been unreal of late. Definitely developing into a top class player.
