Well said USArsenal about how disgusting it was to watch Brandon's treatment and representation in Making a Murderer.

Also agree about the documentary shrouding a few elements that make you doubt Stephen's innocence (though may not be enough to prove guilt). There's more to come from this case for sure.

Must watch for anyone and don't let the first episode stop you (it's wildly different that the rest of the season). Did anyone pick up on how the intro was a complete rip of the True Detective (Season 1) intro?

That said, I was about 6 feet away from her at a performance of Streetcar two years ago and she just radiated beauty. She's stunning.

upon second inspection, yes it is a movie, with a 'possible' short tv revival.

deadwood is kind of like the wire, in that the 'catchy/omar-ish' parts of it have been malabsorbed into pop culture, but if you ask most people they've never actually watched the show properly

and i knew burnsy would be underwhelmed, cos he's a hoopleheaded cocksucker

I really liked Deadwood first time I watched it, but found it nearly unwatchable when I returned for a second look around 2013.

Few glaring problems: Bullock and Starr are way too boring to hang a show off, as is Alma Garrett for that matter, Trixie's whore with a heart of gold is wildly unconvincing, and the way Swearengen becomes more or less one of the good guys by the third season is just a contradiction in terms, because he's a repellent, child murdering arsehole.

I will go into bat for the supporting cast, though, Robin Weigert, Brad Dourif, Dayton Callie, Ray McKinnon, Garret Dillahunt are all great.

I've been watching homeland and I'm really enjoying it so far, but fuck, Carrie Mathison is the most annoying character ever.

If i would have been on that jury, i would not have convicted him based on the "evidence".

The other thing that bothers me about it is the utter lack of care the system has for you once you're in it. They dont want to know anything or admit they made any kind of mistake, and they all pretty much cover each others asses. Its basically about protecting the system at that point rather than the possible victim of the fucked up system.

After regularly watching Last Week Tonight, "fairness" or "best of the world" are the last words that spring to mind when it comes to America or its justice.

who actually has good justice anyway? i'm sure minorities in europe aren't fawning over your justice system. for the most part white people in america get treated pretty damn good by the justice system and i'm sure you all get treated relatively good in your countries.

You're right to some extent but it's about putting it into relation to each other. Germany has a horrible criminal justice system compared to the UK for example but compared to the US or some third world country even as a non-white minority I feel I've been dealt a better hand than a lot others.
