Not sure if many watch on here but thought I'd say that Better Call Season 5(which wrapped on Monday) was very enjoyable.

It seems each season of BCS has played out with a different set of principles considering things like tempo, degree of realism to the narrative, balance between Narco world vs Law practice, context development vs personal development etc. I think some would say this season was not as great as the earlier ones and they would have a fair point. It was quite fantastical and on reflection you can see the writers have started to demonstrate more urgency in wrapping up the prime narrative along with the smaller threads for the final 23 episodes. I really enjoyed the aesthetics of this season, including scenes in the desert, Chihuahua and other parts of Mexico, and more immersions into Hispanic Albuquerque. As I said on here earlier, Episode 3 directed by Michael Morris was one the best of BCS from that aspect. Watching Tony Dalton was great, and Rhea Seehorn continues to bring a unique acting style to the series, using guarded body language cues I would think you'd see in live performances. Kim remains an enigma to this point.

Every faith that Lalo vs Gus is going to be epic as the season goes
Didn't manifest in the way I thought it would, and the fervor of the conflict will really rise for the final season in 2021. It was much more reconnaissance, indirect attacks, and political maneuvering which at the end of the day was much more interesting than what my pea brain envisaged.
