I'm glad the Burrows goal made it. I wasn't expecting it to be there. Excellent stuff.
It would be nice if Burrows or Hallenius won. I suspect Messi will get it although his goal is the same genre as and inferior to the Nasri and Neymar goals
That Altintop goal was quality. Hallenius' goal was just pure genius though. Fantastic technique.

Altintop won. At least Hallenius and Burrows had their goals screened on the world stage. That must be the highlights of their careers so far.

Hallenius is a quality player. It's such a poor league though. It was scored in the swedish second division. Doesn't belong on the list unless it's simply about the best strikes (but Nasri's inclusion suggests that it's not). The selection process is inherently flawed in my opinion. The finish is only one aspect of many that plays a part in a goal.

The skill beforehand, and even the skill to finish, was class. It was a great goal which is what this is about. It's not about how many times would he have got that in if he tried the exact same thing ten times.
I'd have picked Burrows myself. That goal was just insane, don't care if it was in the Irish league, you won't ever see a finish like that again.
Meh happens all the time.

Agreed. A leaping fucking back foot tricky lob volley into the diagonal top corner - if I see one more anything like it I'll be surprised.
All credit to Hallenius but his was a merely brilliant goal not a one off freak.
The Eduardo goal above - had two sights I'm getting used to 1) A nice little lobbed ball into the penalty area from Alex Song. The pass was so perfectly weighted. He had one couple of weeks ago that RvP fluffed. 2) Eboue playing the role of chief cheerleader. We should just get him and Gunnersaurus to switch roles. I'm sure each will give more than the other in their respective roles
