With Giroud's performances against Chelsea up to date, it feels like we are basically wasting a position if he starts. He has been firmly in Terry's and Cahill's pocket every time.

Oh, wait, there was that one moment where he was put clean through in the first couple of minutes and missed horribly. Then we went on to lose 6-0.
Please note that I am NOT blaming Giroud for us losing that game! We were so poor on the day that even Messi wouldn't have made a difference.

Giroud must keep Terry and Cahill occupied, while Theo or Ox do their thing from the wing, with Mesut assisting.

Giroud has his merits, but it is hard to deny that he is also exactly the type of striker Terry and Cahill are the most comfortable dealing with. A mobile striker like Walcott, constantly looking to get in behind, is something they like a whole lot less.

But in that case Mou Can adjust tactically and choke up the midfield so the passes can't come through - forcing us to play through the wings. And Walcott isn't going to win any headers...

We'll create enough. I'm more worried about their players picking up the ball and running at us, especially if Cazorla plays in midfield. Happened in our last game as well. They created the better chances and had a couple of penalty shouts IIRC.

They are pretty good at physically dominating small quick strikers too though. The real problem we have vs Chelsea is that we don't create enough.

Chelsea all-encompassing midfield pressing is what allows their CBs to play very tight to the CF.
I think the best counter is for Giroud to consistently stretch the field by never dropping into midfield and instead pull terry, especially, out wide,

And get Ozil pushed as far up as possible, he is quick, great in tight spaces and can exploit the space Giroud creates.

I know Van Persie's name is mud but I still laugh when I think of how he left a stumbling, flailing Terry in his wake

Should definitely play Theo, need to expose Terry and Cahill's weakness. That being said, he can do that from the wing. Ox and Theo either side of Giroud will be fine, Ramsey and Coq in the middle.

I think Wenger will go with Aaron wide, Santi in the middle though. If he does that then Theo needs to play up top.

It's strange how often we don't play our fastest players against Chelsea - if there's one weakness in that defence, it's raw pace.

I think moron will have Hazard and Costa leading the attack with fabregas at 10 providing for them.
This will allow him to clog up the midfield and neutralise our midfield.
For this reason, Theo is a must and like Qs! said, Ozil must stay as high up as possible to help stretch the play.
