Some post match thoughts
1) Everything accused of Coquelin is simply not true. Guy is a top player. He offers us everything we need. He is my number 1 choice DM this season, who else out there is significantly better?
2) This 4-4-1-1 formation is pretty interesting. Allows Santi not too far up the wings and easily interchangeble with Ramsey centrally. Santi covered a lot for Ramsey when he bombed into the box. Somehow remember we played like this at Eittihad last season too.
3) Fucking love getting under Mourinho's skin. No matter how he spin, he can't hide that he is seething at this loss and it's an important game for the Chelsea boys. Community Shield is definitely not a simple friendly.
4) Koscielny is a man-god, think we mentioned that loads of time now. I like how Bellerin is chosen ahead of Debuchy too, confirming what most of us suspected. Debuchy has got alot to do to win his place back, but I would think he is better as a backup now. More than capable.
5) Monreal once again was very intelligent in many situations. Helped us relieve pressure every now and then, smart defending all round.
6) Giroud came on and did pretty well. Allowed us to hold onto possession much better, brought people from midfield into play and provided a presence up front crucially.
7) Good to see Ox kicking on from his good pre-season. MOTM deservingly.
