Meh. No willies will be shaken.

I like him but the last few strikers from France have scared me. Chamakh, Gervinho...hell even Giroud. Do not want.

I think he could be an interesting buy, if top class strikers ain't available.

I wouldn't say it's the brightest thing he's ever done: dropping a tweet about negotiations, that Wenger likes to keep absolutely private, is not a good idea.

didnt watch lyon at all last season. his record is solid, but can he actually play as well? we really need to get the striker signing right

Unless we're not in for him at all and he just wants to stir up some rumours to strengthen his negotiation position with Lyon. Which is exactly what it looks like to me.

Not that I have seen him much, but the boy seems to have something about him.

You know he could have favourited it by mistake? Has happened to me on a few occasions just scrolling up my timeline.

The problem with strikers in Ligue 1 is that whenever you see their goal compilations, the defending is quite poor. Can't imagine him leading the line for us, could he be a Wiltord Mk deux?

Has anyone ever seen this guy dribble? Score a solo goal? Play a difficult pass? Has anyone ever seen him doing something outstanding on the pitch?

He's a waste of time. Spurs are going to buy him for a huge fee and he'll pick up where Darren Bent and Roberto Soldado left off.

A Lyon fan once told me that Fekir is the real star in that team. Can't say I've ever watched either though.

Think he'd play wide if he came her. I'd be happy with him as a Welbeck replacement.

I'd bet that Welbeck is a better player.

I know the PL is better than Ligue 1, but not "4 goals > 27 goals" better.

That's a bit of a simplistic way to look at it, mate, there are other factors too, like where on the pitch they play and how much of the team is set up to get the best from them. I've seen very little of Lacazette but he doesn't look to have a single outstanding aspect to his game - Welbeck, at least, has his extraordinary acceleration and speed. Put Welbeck in that Lyon team, build it around him, let him settle in and he'd absolutely rip Ligue Une to shreds.

Yes. No point.

I disagree.

Welbeck's never been prolific. The ligue 1 isn't the chinese league or something.

Hey! What's that on his face?

Looks lac a zit !

He can definitely dribble and score 'hard' goals. He also seems to be rapid.

Looks a great finisher. Wouldn't say no.

i love that hes a pointless player and complete garbage, yet he scored 31 goals in 38 appearances last season in ligue 1. ligue 1 isnt the premier league, for sure, but its also not the eredivise or the belgium pro league. he seems to be quick and a good finisher. everyone here shits all over statistics, but he was better than cavani across the board in 2014/2015 and he played for a weaker team.

lacazette wouldnt be my first choice, but to call him pointless or the french darren bent seems pretty unfair to me. i dont see how hes anything like darren bent.

The stats, the league and the way he shoots remind me of Giroud. Won't really be an upgrade.

Not too sure about him, looks a good player but i feel we need better.

You're right, it's unfair to Darren Bent. The bloke scored 24 Premier League goals in one season once. Lacazette will never do that.

I like him but I hope we're aiming higher. If we miss out on bigger fish I'd take him late in August. I think he'd provide a genuine challenge for Giroud at least.

no he wouldn't. danny welbeck wouldn't rip the eredivisie to shreds. he doesn't have a goalscorers mentality. if he gets one it's because wenger is a goddamn genius.
