Perhaps the highlight of the entire evening was when Nesbitt dragged a 16-year-old Danish kid called Sebastian out of the audience and onto stage to ask Ronaldo a question.
“What will you do after you finish your career?” Sebastian asked, blinking into the bright lights, taking in perhaps the biggest moment of his life so far.

Ronaldo, unprepared for this searching interrogation, fixed his questioner with the sort of suspicious glare he usually reserves for referees, autograph hunters and Nani.
Clearly this was some sort of trap: set by the English media, most probably, disguising themselves as a Scandinavian teenager. How much lower can they stoop?
“I have my plan,” he said eventually, with all the measured evasion of a Cabinet minister side-stepping a zinger from Jeremy Paxman on Newsnight.
“Me and my team. A strategic plan. I want to carry on with my brand, and different kinds of… brand. And I’m so comfortable. This is the most important thing. I’m very comfortable.”

Sebastian looked crestfallen.
