England playing Portugal right now. Portugal is up 1-0 with two minutes to go. That Bernardo Silva looks like a class player in the making.
He's been impressive for Monaco last season.
England as usual, look a step down technically when facing top teams even at youth levels.
William Carvalho owned the midfield.
It's just cos out best youngsters are in the full national squad
Not sure on Carvalho. Don't quite think he's good enough to make up for his cumbersome lack of mobility
Sweden vs England is on now. It's such a boring game, Jenkinson is the only dangerous England man on the pitch...he really looks like the most creative player out there, that says a lot.
Andrea Belotti just scored an absolute peach for Italy against England after a great through ball by Berardi who looks unplayable. And now Benassi scores for 2-0 after some very passive England defending.
Ings look shit btw.
Are the u-21's that bad or is Gareth Southgate that bad?
Lost 3-1 in the end. Very poor

Probably both.
Doesn't make sense as we aced qualifying but turn into donkeys at the tournament.
In the actual tournament there are good teams. Makes a little sense.

He does look like a top player in the making, doesn't he? Insane vision on him for a forward.

He does look destined for stardom, yes. It was clear that he was a notch or two above everyone else on the pitch technically. I was also surprised with how much defensive work he put in as he was pressing England's CBs relentlessly. Also noted that he had a rant or two towards his teammates.
Both I think. Southgate is omitting Chambers, Dier and Ward-Prowse from the starting eleven for the likes of Liam Moore and Forster-Caskey which is odd to say the least. The England midfield has been terrible with Chalobah especially standing out in a negative way. Kane has disappointed and Danny Ings... 😆 So bad.

No matter what Italy's history is, Sweden made a deal with the opposition to just calm down and stop trying to score when it was 1-1. I don't think that's okay.
Are you saying they planned for the Portuguese to score in the 80th minute then planned an 89th minute equaliser? Was Italy losing 1-nil to them also planned? I think it's more likely both teams realised they were through after the equaliser and played as such. The hard work was done in 89 minutes and their previous games and this was the equivalent of taking the ball to the corner in the last minute of a cup game.
Second time we are sticking it to the Italians too. The Sweden v Denmark 2-2 was a beautiful game. Italian teams are our bitches. 🙂

It's not that they realized they were through. That's natural. But a Swedish player saying in an interview after the match that when they equalized, they had a chat with the opposition and agreed to stop trying to score goals, that I don't like.
It makes no sense for either team to push for a win in the 89th minute when in a situation where both teams will advance with the draw.
