Bundesliga giants open to selling Arsenal and Chelsea target Mario Gotze
Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich have put the likes of Arsenal, Manchester United and Chelsea on high alert after refusing to rule out selling World Cup winning forward Mario Gotze, according to the Daily Express.
The Premier League trio have been keeping tabs on the 23-year-old over the course of the campaign, in which he made 28 appearances, helping him build his reputation on from an impressive World Cup last summer.
Gotze was the golden child of German football following his move from Borussia Dortmund in the summer of 2013, but found himself on the receiving end of some criticism from Bayern legend Franz Beckenbauer, who claimed that he needed to grow up.
And the club have not ruled out cashing in on his signature at some point, with Bayern CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge remaining coy on his future.
“The duration of his contract is known (until 2017). In addition to that, we are not aware of anything,” Rummenigge.
“There is only one price, and that’s the price of the market, which is controlled by supply and demand.”
However, Bayern intimated that Man United target Bastian Schweinsteiger would not be going anywhere.
