My answer is; god yes we need to sign a new striker! But who the heck is there? Can't think of a single one that really excites me or helps us catch up with the best teams.
I secretly hope PSG make some absurd David Luis style offer for Giroud this summer now that FFP is being relaxed and that forces even the stubbornest man in football to stop this experiment of trying to make him into a world class striker.
And its not even that I don't like Giroud; he's a good player and a good character, but what possessed Wenger to buy a striker with his limitations in the first place, I will never know. Same with someone like Mertesacker - what was he thinking? Not the type of player that fits in with our supposed style at all. And now we've put them in the team and worked around them, we don't really have a style at all. Where is the planning, the logic? He has a lot to answer for in the last few seasons.
