Aubameyang for Zaha is exactly the kind of regressive move we would make. I’d need Zaha and something else to consider that move. Zaha is worth half the 80m I keep seeing floating around. 10 goals and 5 assists in the Premier League as really the main threat on Palace is good but not great. He’s an incredible headache for defenders, can play both sides and would make our attack less sterile, but he’s not upper echelon. That’s what Aubemayang is and that’s what 80m should get you.
Maybe turn it into a winger and a midfielder e.g., Under/Ziyech and Barella. That could be done for 80m. There’d still be a pure goal-scoring risk, even with Nelson etc stepping up
