And that's just what he has said publicly. Milan are definitely making their move because Torreira's camp have told them he wants to join.

That's how I read the situation too. I'd rather not sell Torreira after a single season, especially not this particular summer when we have so much else to do, but there might be an opportunity to get something good in return here. Ask Milan for a (good) player as a swap deal and see what happens. Show Paqueta or Piatek, maybe even Romagnoli, the sort of wages they could earn in England. See if this attempted transfer coup blows up in Milan's collective faces.

He's a 22 year old and probably seen his first real winter in Europe. When my brother in law came here first and saw all the snow and rain - and he was a lot older than Torreira - he wondered why people would want to live here too.

I agree with Don. Another major part missing from the interview is him saying that the weather was shit but that he'll get used to it over the years.

There's this part too:

Either way he's allowed to be honest with the fact that he's struggling to adapt. I just questioned the intention and the timing behind it, and lo and behold, Milan table their first official bid the same week.
