I got past that point when van Persie went there.

I don’t have even half as much feeling for Sanchez (or Ozil) as I did for RVP. He was The last Arsenal player to whom I accorded hero status. Then he went to Manchester United, and we were still somewhat rivals back then. We basically watched the kid grow and develop before our eyes, and become a world class player, assuming the mantle of leadership from Henry and the Invincibles. Then we let him go there.

Nah, nothing Sanchez or Ozil does can affect me much.

At this stage, I would be fine with Sanchez at City and Ozil at Utd for £50M use that to get Malcom or Fekir.

Exactly how I feel flo. RvP was my favourite player (possibly of all time at that point - yep, higher than any of the Invincibles), and him joining United was probably when I stopped letting Arsenal influence my personal life/plans.

It's hilariously depressing how 5 years on our best player is going to join either City or United. Nothing's changed at all.

There is no way that we should be entertaining anything from united - we aren't far from them and they are a genuine rival. City for nothing is a better deal.

Happy to let him go to Y*nited - he won’t be much good for more than a year or two anyway. He and Moron deserve each other. Let him go play left inside wing back there as long as we can get a good fee from them.

That sums me up too. Think I said when he was linked to them in the summer that if we let our best player go to United again then I think that would be it for me and football. Reckon I'd be done with it. Already gave up playing myself last year as I was that disillusioned with the whole thing.

But I do understand the frustration. Everything about the Sanchez situation has been so deflating that I jokingly told friends “I will follow Sanchez out the door” because we’ve devolved into an exhausting farce

I'm still trying to understand how we messed up the lemar deal so badly. He wanted to come here Sanchez wanted out. Monaco wanted 52m sanchez was worth that. It should have been so easy.
