Dribbling and then releasing the ball just before the tackle hits him creates so much space for his teammates, though. If he can avoid the tackles it's very valuable.

basically if he wants to play with that dribble and release late style he has to have better close control of the ball. it's constantly running away from him at the end and he has to make a mighty effort to try and beat the defender to the ball.
