About time we had a link, mendes is his agent tho. And that guy doesn't just make a few million of a transfers he makes a lot. Not sure negotiations will go smoothly but as long as we grease men

I'd take Kondogbia over Gündogan. Height, power, good defensively, decent enough on the ball, high potential to develop even further. More in line with my thoughts of what type of midfielder we need and should invest in.

Also get your facts right. He is part of the same agency as Olivier Giroud. He was part-owned by Doyen when he was at Sevilla.

Gundogan. No question about it. Kondogbia is a decent player, but wouldn't really improve our first team. He'd be another squad player. Gundogan is a bit of a risk, but at his best he is among the best midfielders in the world. Pure class.

Agree. I'm not that impressed by Kondogbia. Looks too raw - was crud in the second leg against us too

Kondogbia is someone i would want as a rotation/backup for Coq, woulnt count on him to improve our starting XI straight away. But we need to get rid of Flamini and get an actually useful DM in the squad, so he would do.

Gündogan would be perfect Arteta replacement of course. Doubt he would want to come and maybe not start though.

Kondogbia is more of a box to box player isn't he? Why would we need another box to box player when we have Ramsey? We need someone who can defend but also run and dictate the game with his passing.

I just find it baffling that so many posters think we need someone ahead of Ramsey in the starting XI. Our best central mid by a street IMO, and I certainly wouldn't play Gundogan instead of him.

There's always so much nonsense in the Wishlist thread. People replacing good players with inferior ones/making the team worse than it already is.

I guess the grass is always greener and all that.

I agree with this. Also as much as i love Gundogan we would do better to get Kondogbia.

Because Kondogbia may actually provide the physical presence we have lacked post PV4,
and Rambo can be utilised as either a DLP behind Le Coq & Kondogbia with Ozil as wide playmaker,
or as a wide CM on the flanks as in an assymetric 4141 as we've seen of late, with Kondogbia replacing Cazorla's role next to Le Coq and Ozil as CAM.

The only thing that I agree with is that Kondogbia is physical.

Ramsey cannot dictate play so having him as a DLP is a non-starter and why would you want your most talented player out of position?

Rambo was essentially playing the DLP type role seen from Fabregas in the 07-08 side when he joined.
