I would be happy if we signed Firmino and Clyne. Or even Joe Gomez. Because we already have a good squad and we can afford to add quality depth.
But they can't. They need players to bring them up to another level but they can't attract them.
That said, Rodgers might easily sign a decent striker (Benteke/Bacca), do some tweak in his tactics and fire them into the top 4 again when they click. They are not going to challenge for the title though.
