I cannot stand Mourinho. He's an asshole But he managed a team that was far ahead of anything else in the league. And his coaching of defense is far better than what anyone else is able to. 17 clean sheets. He's been able to shut out teams, a strategy that I would not feel confident in if Wenger, van Gaal and especially Rodgers / Pellegrini tried.
Pellegrini's stock has fallen. I remember he was fashionable on here for a while.

Our players are as good as theirs, the difference is Mourinho.
Our players are clearly not as good as theirs though, but nice try though. They have clearly superior starting players at RB, LB, GK and striker, and they match us in every other position.
Matic is better than Coquelin too. Everyone would take him if a straight swap was on the table.
