We would've gotten away without ten pages of slating Rex had he yielded to the forum's will for once and shut the fuck up 🙂
My comparison to ratface was not in terms of their analysis, Cox is clearly more profound when it comes to that. I was comparing them in how both look better in light of their even worse colleagues, Neville on TV and Cox for written articles.
Regardless of how well written his articles usually are, there's literally nothing in the one you posted that hasn't been "analysed" on this forum and then some. He also stops short of several points which aren't as obvious, for example how Coquelin's passing goes completely under the radar (mostly because he usually prefers to lay it off), despite it being very sharp - his vertical distribution especially. He also mentions the Cazorla-Coquelin midfield as a duo with very clear roles, despite Cazorla's considerable defensive contribution; he mentions Ramsey's combining of two positive aspects of the duo, but fails to talk about what Ramsey is missing (not a slight on Ramsey btw) etc pp
Finally he sounds too much like an Arsenal man to me. There's some analysis but he tiptoes around some of the grave issues the club has created or neglected; he mentions eight players for three midfield positions and how it's "bizarre" we're missing five of them perfectly knowing that half of our "options" are currently on life support. Again, he's certainly one of the better if not best writers out there, but for providing actual new insights I find him lacking.
