That's not really stirring things. Based on the pictures on the main site, Ozil wasn't in training on Saturday anyway. He clearly had the weekend off for one reason or another. With a sufficient break inbetween games, having a late night isn't a big deal.

ARSENE WENGER will remind Mesut Ozil of his responsibilities to the club next week after he was spotted partying in Germany just hours after a match he missed supposedly due to illness.

As if he was actually sick. Wenger most likely rested him knowingly, as he put in a huge shift vs Monaco and was probably already granted a leave on Saturday, since he didnt train.

The whole story comes from that Bild article which is pretty thin on detail.

I find it hard to believe that the most famous footballer in Germany was out partying in Berlin and not a single photo surfaced. Either it's absolute nonsense or they are wildly stretching the truth.

If he was sick and didn't train Wed-Fri then he shouldn't play on Saturday even if he feels better. He missed training, was given days off and decided to go out and have a party. Seems like a nothing story to me.

As I said on match day I doubt he was sick at all. He was probably rested and went out. Is that a big deal? If he was behaving himself I don't see the problem.

Doesn't really matter if he was out anyway, Jeremy Wilson says he had a cold so the club chose to rest him. If he was out partying before a match then obviously this is bang out of order but clearly not the case. Supposedly he was out at someone's anniversary party so I don't see what the big deal is here.

Liking the new Ozil a lot. Turning up in the big games, dictating our creative play, taking on more responsibility with the ball, winning more shoulder to shoulder challenges, guiding the ball out in our half for goalkicks. Now getting pissed when he's supposed to be ill. Adapting to English life very nicely indeed. Think he's here for the long haul.
