Agree with those that say he should be judged as a forward. And since his injury his fantasy football points (which all forwards seem to be judged on) are healthy enough. He's in the team and we're winning the games we're supposed to win. Good, consistent player and lovely to watch. Â
To cross over into being one of the top players in the world for his Arsenal career he needs to make the difference in the crunch games against top teams and cup ties. What he has done before joining Arsenal doesn't interest me now. He's an incredibly gifted player and there should be more to come if he's willing to work harder to make his game fit the requirements here. I'll assume that's why he joined. The player I keep comparing him to is Pires after the '02 injury - think he's very similar in style and is the blueprint of how effective a very clever player could be.
