You're a lawyer aren't you?Â
Don't you think one might as well say that defence lawyers work in an "entire industry geared towards bypassing criminal punishment", or that accountants work in "an entire industry geared towards stealing tax from the public"?

If a person has money or valuable skills (or a mobile phone), then they must be too rich to be a refugee. If they're broke or unskilled, they're an economic burden even if they are a genuine refugee. Those fleeing fanaticism are branded a security risk due to the fanaticism they're imagined to possess. If they can't speak the language, they won't integrate. If they can speak the language, they might take one of our jobs.
Ultimately the phobic will find a way to undermine the acceptance of anyone they feel like.
