It was the same but 42º max yesterday Tam. I went to the outdoor cinema in the evening, fortunately remembered to pack some shorts to change into after work because the place was like a sauna—it would've been way over 30º until at least 9 o'clock. Some of the worst days I can recall in recent years, usually when it gets over 40º there's a dry easterly coming through.
At my current site there are plate glass windows with a 180º view for about 10-20km. For a long stretch this afternoon there were enormous gouts of lightning striking the coastal plain, coming down from grey and brown clouds but with nearly no rain falling.
You would live through it though mate, I have a fairly pasty Scots-Irish body myself. But you're not going to look graceful doing it.
