He's leaving Dortmund to take a break though, which is why they mutually agreed to terminate his contract. No way would Dortmund have agreed to it if he was just going to join another club, because they would want the compensation. There's probably a non comptete clause for a year or something, although I'm not sure how valid that would be in this particular case tbh.
