The rules very clearly state that you have to leave the pitch immediately after a red card to be fair. You can't linger and protest. That's why ESR walked off immediately and then lingered on the sideline while VAR checked the foul.

He's supposed to protest and harrass the ref before the red card is shown though. After it's been shown obviously there's no point but especially in England these weak as piss refs are easily swayed by protests.

Yup. You look at the other teams, they harass the ref like mad and pressure him to give a decision for them, be it red or penalty.

For us, most players don't bother. When one is sent off they look away. When our goal got disallowed they accept it and quickly move back to position to restart the game. No passion or aggression

They appealed the handball on Saturday to be fair, fat lot of good it did us though. It's not about passion or aggression for me, it's just being smart and gaming the system.

He doesn't have to linger or harass the ref, but at least make it visibly clear that you think it's a shocking decision. When I saw his face I thought it must have been 100% guilty 😆

Laca is a weird one, occasionally he'll dive or scream like he did against Leicester, on other occasions he's wrestled to the ground in the penalty area (Emi wasn't the first) and he won't even ask for a foul.

Yeah he probably is the most complete keeper in Europe currently. I mean statistically he is so far ahead of his peers in PL already, dream keeper to have in fantasy team 😆

This is a weird way of looking at data. What I would like to know is how good are keepers at saving shots based on shot difficulty. Ie how many more saves do they make than they would normally be expected to.

Honestly I would not sign Alaba based on what his demands are.

Not the first time an Arsenal player said this under Wenger. They simply had a lack of competition and Wenger always plays his favourites no matter what form they are in.

Exactly he was brilliant for us. Of coarse he wasnt going to be dropped afer a bad game. In the same way Terry wouldn't be dropped if he got a red card for chelseaor had a bad game. Vidic got roasted by torres every time, and he was never dropped even for that specific fixture.

There was a period where he was particularly average, around the time he was leaving or half a year prior to that. He got roasted by average players like Victor Moses etc and still constantly got picked.

I think the point is players feel jaded when they don't have challenge and wants to move on.

Don't think that's true at all. Players want to play all the time, competition may be welcome but ultimately if we were constantly challenging for titles he wouldn't have left.

You can both want to always play and be able to admit much later that the fact that you'd play no matter what did something to you.
