Can't wrap my head around this signing. In a vacuum youd think signing a 29 year old striker with 100+ games for Arsenal would be a complete pipe dream for a norwegian team. But we know first hand how nuts this guy is.

No matter what he'll sell a lot of tickets.

The thing about Bendtner is that I can easily see him have a very good season with Rosenborg. But then he'll start making demands and show up drunk to training, and everything will crumble like it did for him in Sunderland. Bloke has no character whatsoever.

I agree Klaus, that why the optimal situation would be to have him for one season, fire us into the Europa League and then flog him to China for an overinflated sum based on his meme status. That doesn't seem that far fetched. Of course theres also the chance I could run into him at 3am every other Friday night with his pants halfway off trying to hail a cab home from some seedy downtown nightclub.

But whatever happens it will be interesting. I'll keep you guys posted.

You guys might think I'm joking but the first thing I did upon reading this was call my dad and told him to sit down before I gave him the news. He's had some problems with the ticker in the past and based on his exasperated comments while watching Arsenal games when we played Bendtner on the wing I was genuinely worried how he would take the news that he had signed for his beloved Rosenborg. 😆

I know that feeling mate, he was within inches of signing for Frankfurt back in 2013. Was confirmed pretty much everywhere, and I had the exact same image of seeing him on the piss in some dodgy pub at 5am every other day

Oh Bendtner. What a monumental waste of talent. All young players should look at him as an example of what not to do.

It's a good thing that liquor in Norway is basically unpayable though.

Norwegian pundits just can't stop praising this signing. While it can turn out good, I can also see it go pretty badly. He did terribly for a Nottingham Forest side that I believe Rosenborg to be better than.
