I don't have the same animosity toward Sanchez because we effectively sold him when he was busted.

There's just no need to demean ourselves with these players. Hleb, Alexis, Cesc, Nasri, Adebayor, van Persie... they owed the club and Wenger everything and then stabbed him in the back. History will remember them for what they are, and what they are is a big steaming pile of shit. I'd sooner invite Spurs to the celebrations (although in Adebayor's case that means he'll get in on a technicality).

Klaus Alexis definitely shouldn't have gone to United, but I don't see how he "owed Wenger and the club everything". You make it sound like we picked him from obscurity and turned him into a footballer. 😆

Klaus I get that and some of those players deserve no respect but that doesn't apply to every player. As a football club we had given up and decided we were going to live with being a 4th place team. Doesn't mean players have to agree with that, they have short careers and want to chase honours. Some of them however had their careers made here and only became the players they did thanks to Wenger and the way they pushed for moves was frankly disgusting and they should never be welcomed back. At the time I was quite hurt but looking back now should some of these guys stayed and accepted the mediocracy that this club had accepted? Every season was like finish 4th, job done onto next season. Eventually other clubs caught up and we couldn't even get to 4th. The squad had become to depleted.

I think Alexis wanted to join City but that fell through at the last min resulting in a bit of a break down in relations hence why we sold in January. I don't agree with it but our club had no ambition and behind the scenes there was a huge power struggle between Kroenke's and Usmanov, Wenger became collateral damage and clearly did not have a good working relationship with Gazidis. Players were simply not going to wait around during that time.

Seeing all of the Amazon Prime clips resurface with Nuno Tavares front and centre of all of them is hilarious. The guy had some insane attributes but he summed up where we were at the time. He scarred Mikel so much - it felt like he spent a billion on left backs alone.

QuincyAbeyie yeah, for the most part, those players that left hit a ceiling at Arsenal and needed to go somewhere else to win big trophies. Whilst they were painful and sometimes executed poorly, I don't begrudge them for having ambition, particularly given we showed limited willingness to match that ambition.

I’ve seen online messages from Xhaka, Ceballos, Aubameyang, Lacazette amongst others congratulating Arteta, Saka and the team in general. The goodwill from
Former players really speaks to what an incredible leader Arteta has been. He’s built a narrative that players, including ones who’ve gone are invested in.

We feel like the greatest club in the world right now. I trusted the process, but seeing the reaction really confirms what a special journey we are on

Claudius There is a class about this club. It's cultural, ingrained in how we operate. Arteta has simply carried it forward with utmost love and honesty.

I think the bigger problem was how willing we were to sell to United. No matter how poor Liverpool were down the years - they never would have sold any of their players to them. Selling van Persie to them was bad enough, we also sold Sanchez and almost even sold Nasri - who then changed his mind and chose City. We needed to make money from sales to pay off the Emirates buts still.

Dat Guy Welbz, got loads of stick here but will always have a soft spot for the way he celebrated at Old Trafford and his performance in the FA cup final against Chelsea.

I dont know that Welbz get too much stick, at least not here. He was by no means stellar for us, but he always worked hard when he played, and he scored a couple big goals for us. I've got time for him.

I think I've been a bit taken back by how many ex-players seem to be genuinely pleased for us.

Additionally, yet to see any neggy comments from the footballing media about the manner of our win - think the fact that we have now won instead makes a big difference in people's perception of us.

Don Pacifico I doubt ESPN fC change their tune. They’re bitter washed up ex players who can’t stand Arsenal to a man. The guys in Talksport also suffering because they are Chelsea and Spurs men.

The funny content I’m seeing online from rival fans is people being surprised at how classy our celebrations were. A beloved club whose fans spontaneously gathered and had a fun, responsible party with no shots at rival clubs, just focusing on our own. . It’s almost like they’ve been lied to by haters

Don Pacifico yeah, so much media now is driven by getting engagement - they say any old shit to get noticed and talked about. Most people, even if they won't admit it often, know what a wonderful job Arteta has done.

USArsenal I think his problem was he couldn't finish for shit, which I suppose is a big deal if you're a striker lol. But otherwise his game was very good, someone who any manager would love because you could tell him to go out and do a job and he would happily sacrifice his own game for the team. The FA cup final we won, he spent the whole game making sure Chelsea could not play the ball out of the back easily and as a result Chelsea struggled to move the ball around easily. He was Fergie's go to man for that as well, remember him doing a similar job on I can't remember if was Bayern or R.Madrid, he man marked their CDM and as a result they struggled to play.

On Twitter people are saying no other PL club has congratulated us on winning the title, tbh I'm not sure if that is common here for clubs to send out a tweet congratulating other teams on their win
