the social media king strikes again.
😆
Now that's good.
This wasn't Hangzhou Greentown v Arsenal,
Arsenal Starting XI: Mannone, Sagna, Djourou, Squillaci, Traore, Rosicky, Frimpong Nasri, Vela, Arshavin, Van Persie

That went south quickly. And he started so well over there. Feel a bit sorry for him to be honest, he has a lot of talent but clearly lacks the mentality to be a top player.
Nasri has been left out of Citys CL squad.
Nice goal from Nordtveit today
He has been scoring some good goals for them, still remember an outrageous strike not too long ago.

Peak Hleb now on our right wing would be amazing.Â
Nah, we need someone who also actually scores.

What we miss most is the build up play anyway nowadays. The ball has to actually get to our forwards.
I think we mostly miss reliable goal scorers. We have Alexis and that's it.
Aaaaaghh Hleb 2005-08 MY EYES! MY EYES!

We miss both, and it was an issue back when we had Hleb too. He was half of a brilliant player.
We need to sign someone like Isco or Götze (or Reus?) this summer basically; someone who can give us 12-15 goals a season and is comfortable with passing the ball around under pressure. These players are rare but we're finally in a position where we have money to to for someone with their profile. We just need to actually do it.
Ben Arfa could still be a budget alternative the way he's playing this year in France. Mahrez is another, but he's gonna have a monster fee attached to him if Leicester win the league.

Ozil lite, but Ozil lite would be as shit and pointless as Hleb was.
Klaus, you know I agree with you on on our need for that type of player, I totally agree with you on the Germans too. You can get away with one mere 'good' player in your front three but that's about it.

Our main issue back then was probably lack of depth. Quality of football on show was amazing both in possession and one touch play. My point is that Hleb is way more useful than poverty players like Ox and Theo. When you see how Vardy plays, you start to wonder what is the point of Theo as a footballer.
But yeah we really need a good man's Hleb like Gotze and Isco + a good striker. And then we need another quality CM as well. So much work to do in the summer which we can rest assured will never be done.
Why do you put Hleb in the company of those two? The man was such a coward on the pitch! He absolutely refused to take any responsibility to finish, ever, on the pitch! The last thing we need the way I see it.
